FirstService`s commitment to acting in a responsible manner stems from our company`s firm belief that good governance is good business. It is the integrity of our dealings with our partners that has been the foundation for the success of FirstService and in that spirit, we continue to review and evaluate the company`s business operations and practices so that we may continue to make decisions that are beneficial to our clients, shareholders and the employees of FirstService.
Bylaws and other corporate governance documents are intended to serve as a flexible framework within which the Board may conduct its business and not as a set of legally binding obligations. These Guidelines are subject to modification by the Board, and the Board shall be able, in its discretion, to deviate from these Guidelines from time to time, as the Board may deem appropriate or as required by applicable laws and regulations.
